Century of Memories exhibition

Century of Memories exhibition I wrote all the copy for this award-winning exhibition, the centrepiece of Celebrate Belfast 2006. It tells the story of City Hall from its own perspective, from the early days of Belfast to the future of the city. The 20,000 words of panel text cover a number of areas from the creation and adornment of City Hall to its wartime experiences, relationship with Century of Memories exhibition the rest of the city, parades, protests and celebrations and its role in the lives of the people of Belfast.

I also wrote the text for the 20-minute video accompaniment and the scripts for the six living history actors. The work involved three months of intensive research into City Hall and the history of Belfast.
